We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.

7.1 Data Residency

Your personal information is stored and processed within Canada. Our primary database infrastructure is hosted in Montreal, Quebec (AWS ca-central-1 region) through our sub-processor Supabase, Inc. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. with data centers in Canada and the United States. Email communications are processed by Postmark (for transactional emails) and Brevo (for marketing communications). No personal data is transferred outside of Canada and the United States. All sub-processors maintain SOC 2 Type II compliance or equivalent security certifications.

Under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25, you have the following rights:

You may request access to personal information we hold about you. Email our Privacy Officer with subject line “Access Request” and provide your name and account details. We will respond within 30 days. Access is provided at no charge.

Right of correction

You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. Contact our Privacy Officer with details. We will verify and correct records within 30 days.

Right of deletion

You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations (e.g., tax records). Contact our Privacy Officer with subject line “Deletion Request.” We will confirm within 30 days.

Right to data portability (Law 25)

You may request a copy of your personal information in a machine-readable format (CSV, JSON). Contact our Privacy Officer with subject line “Portability Request.” We will provide a copy within 60 days.

Right to withdraw consent

You may withdraw consent for communications or specific uses of your personal information at any time. Click “unsubscribe” in any email or contact our Privacy Officer. Withdrawal is effective immediately.

    • Likely consequences of the breach.

    • Recommendations for self-protection.
